SENDAI TRUST TOWER, the tallest building in the Tohoku region, stands at 180 meters and is a landmark of Sendai. It features THE WESTIN SENDAI, a foreign-owned luxury hotel, high-quality office space, and a variety of commercial facilities. Damage was kept to a minimum when the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred. The building is protected by high-level disaster prevention functions which have the building serve as a base for defense against disasters in the community. Together with the adjacent high-rise residential building, it provides an experience of high value.
